He remembered dancing with her for the 1st time thinking, how this time just felt right
He didn’t even consider letting her go, he’d never held someone so tight
He’d never been more convinced of anything in his life
This was the 1 who’d existed in his thoughts & lived in his dreams each night
He found comfort in just watching her breathe
Her heartbeat was the rhythm to their Tango, she felt comfortable letting him take the lead
She felt serenity in his arms, for in them was security
His hands, his touch, he represented everything she wanted her future to be
But there was an intruder in their vicinity
Standing in between her & him was an unrelenting enemy
Her intensity & passion for him was in direct conflict with the devil in her midst
He found it difficult to match the embrace of the devil’s grip
She slipped away any moment she could, just to feel the devil’s kiss
For this was a feeling he couldn’t provide, an obsession she couldn’t resist
It kept her awake at night
The sensation allowed her to feel adventurous & experience new heights
Every night he prayed, because giving up on her is something he’d never consider
But every moment she strayed, a little piece of his soul went with her
Her fascination with the devil overruled her love for him
And he’s realizing he’s fighting a battle that may be impossible to win
That embrace he once longed for, is now only obtainable in his dreams
That touch he felt could’ve only come from God, is no longer what it seems
He remembered dancing with her for the last time thinking, “how could this happen to me?”
For his angel now dances with the devil & their love will never be
